Abstract

An exhibition at the Museum Boerhaave in Leiden – the Dutch National Museum of Science and Medicine - offers a graphic and informative history of infectious disease in Europe. The Dutch name of the exhibition, Teringzooi, can be translated into English as ‘bloody mess’
